The whole studio, focused on your child. Private lessons move entirely at their pace — lingering on the skills that spark them, accelerating past the ones they've mastered. No fixed terms, no waiting on a group. Just a designer, a mentor, and a plan built around them.
Every private track is built around the student's goals and pace — here's the arc most young designers move through.
We meet the designer, learn their interests, and set clear goals for the sessions ahead.
Fashion sketching, the croquis figure, color theory, and choosing the right fabrics for a project.
Hand and machine sewing taught step by step, building from the basics to confident construction.
Taking measurements, working with patterns, and fitting the garment to the student's own body.
From final sketch to finished piece — the student designs and sews a garment that's fully their own.
We photograph the finished work and map out the next project or skill to pursue.
Every private lesson is personalized. The only question is whether your designer works solo — or brings a sibling or friend along for the ride.
Fully individualized instruction with the design director's undivided attention. Every minute is spent on your child's goals — from a first stitch to a runway-ready collection.
Bring siblings or a few close friends. A private mini-group of up to four keeps lessons personal while sharing the cost — and designing alongside a friend keeps motivation high.
Meet us in person at the Great Neck atelier, surrounded by fabric, machines, and finished garments — or join a live virtual lesson from home with the same one-on-one attention. Virtual lessons are available for every format and package.
Private lessons are for kids and teens ready to go deeper than a weekly class allows.
For the child who sketches at the dinner table and can't stop talking about fashion. Give their passion the focused attention it deserves.
Teens applying to design programs need a strong, cohesive portfolio. We build it piece by piece, with expert critique at every step.
One-on-one time means no waiting on the group. Motivated students progress through techniques far faster than in a classroom.
No fixed term to commit to. Schedule around travel, sports, and school on your own timeline — book sessions when they work for you.
Getting started is simple. Three steps and your designer is at the table.
Send an inquiry with your child's age, experience, and what they hope to learn or make.
We recommend a format, package, and a lesson plan — then find times that fit your week.
Your designer sits down with their mentor and gets straight to sketching and sewing.
Tell us what you're interested in and we'll reach out with dates, details, and early-bird spots. No commitment.
Thanks — we'll be in touch soon with details.
Very. Unlike our fixed-term afterschool club, private lessons are booked around your family's calendar. Reserve a session pack and we'll find times that work week to week — evenings and weekends included where available.
Just themselves and their ideas. We provide machines, tools, and materials at the studio. If your designer has a sketchbook or an inspiration they're excited about, bring it along — it's a great place to start.
Live over video with the same one-on-one attention. We'll send a simple materials list ahead of time so your designer has what they need at home, and lessons are fully interactive — not pre-recorded.
You bring the group. Private mini-group classes are for siblings or friends you register together (2–4 students) — we don't mix your child in with strangers. Everyone shares the lower per-student rate.
We know life happens. Exact cancellation and rescheduling terms are being finalized, but we plan to offer flexible rescheduling with reasonable notice. We'll share the full policy when you inquire.
Private lessons pair beautifully with a weekly club or an immersive summer. Keep the momentum going.
Two immersive weeks — design and sew a finished garment, then walk it down the runway.
The most memorable birthday on the block — guests design, create, and strut a mini runway show.
Weekly afterschool clubs and grown-up design workshops are on the way — register to hear first.
